By taking part in the the Western North Carolina Visitor Survey, you’ll help transportation planners better answer visitor travel behavior questions like these. Our goal is to paint a clearer picture of how visitors like you get around the region. Your contribution will help support informed planning for roads, public transit, sidewalks, and visitor attractions.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
Visitors who were located at high traffic tourist sites when a member of the survey team was in field conducting interviews, or because you self-recruited via QR code at one of these sites.
HOW LONG IS THE SURVEY?
Completing all questions should take around 10-15 minutes.
WHAT DO YOU GET FOR PARTICIPATING?
Upon your completion of the entirety of this survey, RSG will provide you a gift certificate valued at $10 to the email address you provided in the survey. It will be sent 2-3 weeks after completion from reward@virtualrewardcenter.com.
WHO DO WE SHARE THIS DATA WITH?
RSG will share your data with:
- French Broad River Metropolitan Planning Organization (FBRMPO)
- Land of Sky Rural Planning Organization
- A gift card vendor to issue survey completion gift cards
RSG’s privacy policy does not apply to the practices of companies that we do not own or control, or to individuals that we do not employ or manage.
HAVE PRIVACY CONCERNS?
The survey team takes your privacy seriously and follows industry best practices for secure data collection, transmission, storage, and anonymization. Information collected through the survey will be used for transportation planning and reported in a way that protects participants’ privacy.
YOUR PARTICIPATION IS VOLUNTARY.
The parties above agree that the participants in each project are volunteers, offering their participation freely, without pressure or coercion, and without promise or expectation of compensation from RSG.
CAN YOU CHANGE YOUR MIND?
Yes. You may remove your consent or exercise your data rights by submitting a Data Privacy Request through our secure system.
